About St Ives Bay Holiday Park
Direct access to three miles of golden sand makes St Ives Bay Holiday Park a proper seaside gem. Perched on the dunes just outside Hayle, the site opens straight onto a gorgeous stretch of beach with views across the bay – sunsets here are reliably spectacular. Families have plenty to keep everyone occupied: an indoor heated pool, surf school, crazy golf, tennis courts and various play areas dotted about the park. In the evenings, the terrace bar serves tapas-style bites with those cracking sea views, while Sands Bistro offers sit-down meals if you fancy a night off cooking.
With over 200 pitches, this is a big operation and can feel a touch corporate in places, but the location more than makes up for it. The on-site shop covers essentials, there's evening entertainment laid on, and dogs are welcome year-round – handy given the beach walks on your doorstep.

What visitors say
We are still here now, this place is beautiful. We bring a touring caravan and stay in Morgalyn cove area, if this wasn't here we would not stay here as the static caravans aren't for us...the views are spectacular and the 3 miles of beach are simply stunning.. The bathrooms are ok, ive noticed improvements around site which are very welcome, eg, pots holes in the roads have been filled in, and the walk way out of the shower block has been vastly improved. A suggestion when coming to site to check in could be to have a dedicated bay to be able to park and check in, quite difficult with a tourer when people park in front of you in a car as its on a steep hill.. the facilities are good, there is entertainment too, we usually come in September so and its usually bingo every night, but during summer there's a fantastic array of entertainment. We've been coming here 5 years now and absolutely love it, staff are very friendly too. The fact that this place is dog friendly is what keeps us coming, well done Away Resorts 👏

Disappointing Stay – Misrepresentation of ‘Luxury’ Accommodation My daughter recently booked a four-night stay through the Sun Holiday scheme in a “luxury” (pet-free) caravan, and I booked directly with the same site for what was described as an equivalent “luxury” (pet-free) caravan with a sea view. Unfortunately, the accommodation I received fell far short of that description. The standard of the caravan was extremely disappointing. All flooring was laminate with no carpeting, the sofas were leatherette rather than fabric, and there were no scatter cushions or net curtains. Overall, it did not reflect what I would expect from a pet-free or “luxury” environment. The advertised sea view was also misleading, as it was barely visible without significant effort. Privacy was another concern. When we opened the bedroom curtains, we were directly overlooked by neighbouring decking and living areas, which meant people could see straight into the bedroom. Simple additions such as net curtains would have made a significant difference. The on-site facilities were also underwhelming. Children’s entertainment was minimal, with only a short period involving a bubble machine and limited activities thereafter. While the sing-alongs were enjoyable, the children’s character (“Bear in the Woods”) only appeared once during our stay. The swimming pool was basic and uncomfortably cold. What made this even more frustrating was the comparison with my daughter’s £200 Sun Holiday caravan, which was superior in almost every way. Her accommodation included fabric sofas, scatter cushions, net curtains throughout, carpeting in the living area, a dishwasher, two shower rooms, and a large decking area. I did raise my concerns with reception staff during our stay. Unfortunately, the response was dismissive — I was told this was considered their “luxury” standard and that nothing could be done. I was simply handed a card and advised to leave a review if I was unhappy. Overall, paying over £500 for four nights for this standard of accommodation is unacceptable. Combined with the unhelpful attitude from staff, the experience was very disappointing. I would not return and would instead choose alternative parks, such as St Minver Holiday Park, where both the accommodation quality and customer service are significantly better.

Had a fantastic stay here. For us the location was perfect. Short walk through the sand dunes to a deserted beach, good public transport links to St Ives etc we went at the start of the season so it was nice and quiet. The girls who look after the toilet bocks and showers do a fantastic job always clean and presentable.

Perfect family getaway. The beach is incredible. Crystal clear water and soft golden sand. The bar/restaurant has a perfect sunset view over the beach too. Park on the beach is great for children. Caravan was clean and well stocked perfect for self catering. Kids club party were fabulous every night, friendly and fantastic team that got everyone involved in dancing and entertainment games. Swimming pool was good. Great value for money have booked our return trip for this summer. Definitely recommend. Great location, close to other popular towns and beaches. My only downside is it’s a bit of a hard track back up the sand dunes to leave the beach, especially when holding young children and bags.
