About The Friendly Camp
The Friendly Camp is an RV park at Tregullas Farm in Penhale, on the edge of Ruan Minor near Helston. It has showers on site. The immediate neighbourhood is compact and functional: a Nisa Local is next door, Kernow Kebabs is a short walk away, and the Boathouse bar and restaurant is just up the road, making it easy to grab food or a drink without moving the van far.
Lizard Point lies nearby if you want to venture slightly further afield. For an RV park this close to everyday amenities and a decent pub, it works well as a base for exploring the Lizard Peninsula without the effort of finding parking elsewhere.

What visitors say
Such an awful site! We booked here at late notice and to be fair, the owner was really friendly and accommodating. We love small family run sites, however, this looked like it had been left to go to ruin since the 70s. It appears that there has been no investment in facilities for decades. The photos say it all. We have never seen anything like it. There were holes in the ceiling of the shower with plants growing through it. Whilst the actual toilet was clean, the outside shack that it is in is hideous. We booked for 7 days but left after 1 day as it was so bad. We've never left a bad review of a site but you need to be aware of what you are booking if you choose come here although why you would want to is a mystery. The site is also on a busy road with traffic through the night. If you are in a touring caravan, your pitch backs onto the hedge off the main road. I've purposefully kept this review factual and unemotive. If you want outside facilities which are run down and look unloved, maybe this site is for you. However, take a look at the photos before making you choice.

Jacqui was such a wonderful host, so kind and helpful! She really made my trip to Cornwall so much better! Despite the weather, I spent a lovely 3 nights at the campsite.

My family and I have stayed on this lovely little family run site many times over the years. It's an absolute gem of a place and our little peace of heaven when we need to get away from it all. Ideally located on the Lizard peninsula, you are not far away from all the beautiful beaches the Lizard has to offer. There is also a shop and laundry next door you can use. The campsite is part of a working farm with free range eggs available to buy. We have stayed in the Statics and also camped in the field. The statics are lovely and clean and stocked with everything you need. The lovely Jacquie is always on hand if you need anything The camping pitches are generous (option for electric hookup). The showers are very roomy and always hot and the toilets are clean. BBQ every Wednesdays are fun and there is a central area for playing boules etc. The campsite is extremely good value for money, many of my friends have also stayed and returned over the years be it camping or staying in a static. This quirky, beautiful little campsite has a special place in my heart and we will continue to come back time and time again. Thank you Jacquie, Bruce and Rosie for always making us feel welcome, you are doing an amazing job :)
