13 Mount Brioni
Cornwall
Seaton's beach sits a few minutes' walk downhill from 13 Mount Brioni, a two-bedroom apartment in a Mediterranean-style complex on Cornwall's south coast. The shore here has rock pools for crabbing and a small river crossing it; fishing is popular year-round. The coastal path runs within yards of the grounds, and the village itself has a pub, bistro, shop and beach café.
The apartment is on the first floor with an open-plan living space, kitchen, two bedrooms (one double, one with twin singles) and a shower room. There's a balcony with outdoor furniture and sea views, plus access to shared gardens. You get parking for one car, wi-fi, heating, and bed linen and towels are provided. A kitchen equipped with an electric oven, hob and dishwasher lets you cook if you prefer.
Inland from the beach, a country park in the river valley has nature trails, a children's adventure playground and picnic spots. Seaton has become popular with divers since the Scylla frigate was sunk in nearby Whitsand Bay. If you golf, there are courses at Looe and Whitsand Bay. One well-behaved dog is welcome; smoking is not permitted.
