Acorns occupies one end of a granite barn that once served as a threshing barn, now converted into holiday accommodation. The two-storey layout is arranged in reverse: upstairs, an open-plan living and dining space with a kitchen area flows onto a patio and enclosed garden; downstairs, a double bedroom with its own external access and a bathroom with roll-top bath and separate shower cubicle. Everything you need to cook and eat in is provided, along with wifi, heating and linen.
The cottage sits in a small hamlet near Liskeard, in an area designated for its outstanding natural beauty, scientific value and historic character. Walking routes fan out across Bodmin Moor and towards both Cornish coasts and Dartmoor. The famous Darley Oak, over 1,000 years old, stands nearby. Launceston and Liskeard are a short drive away, as is Minions, Cornwall's highest village. The surrounding countryside is dotted with country pubs. The property has secure parking for one car and an enclosed garden with patio and barbecue. Dogs are welcome. There is a step up to the bath; the entrance has 2 steps. Smoking is not permitted.
