Bruce’s Cottage

Trencrom Hill is walkable from Bruce's Cottage, and from its summit you can see across to both coasts. The property sits in a hamlet convenient for the whole sweep of West Cornwall—Marazion and St Michael's Mount are a short drive, as are the fishing villages of Mousehole and Newlyn, while Lands End and St Ives lie within reach for a day trip. A coastal railway runs from nearby St Erth to St Ives, where the Tate Gallery, independent galleries, harbour-side restaurants and winding streets occupy a compact town built for wandering.

Bruce's Cottage is a semi-detached three-bedroom with space for six: a king bed with ensuite, a double, two singles, and a family bathroom with both bath and shower. Downstairs there are two living areas with Smart TV and DVD players, a kitchen with electric range and dishwasher, and utility rooms housing washing machine and tumble dryer. An enclosed rear garden with sitting-out area and side patio provide outdoor space, with private parking for two cars. The essentials—electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi—are covered. No smoking throughout.

The area draws walkers, beach swimmers and water sports enthusiasts; surfing, kayaking and fishing trips operate locally. The National Trust's Trencrom Hill and the Hayle Estuary marshes are among the walks on the doorstep, and Hardy Exotics garden centre is nearby for a gentler afternoon out.

We have stayed at Bruce's Cottage three times over the past few years in the Autumn and winter. It is a spacious, well equipped, warm and comfortable house in a quiet position that can accommodate 6 people. There are good walks literally on the doorstep and the coast is only a short drive away. There is also separate play room for children if the weather is poor. Do take a look at the books on the local area in the bookshelf in the kitchen.

Stayed for a week with partner, my daughter her partner and 2 of my Grandchildren. Very spacious and well equipped for all of your needs. Large Electric 6 burner hob and fan ovens to cook meals for the six of us. Beautiful welcome basket on arrival which was enjoyed by us all. Would definitely recommend as you are only 15-20 minutes from local attractions in all directions. Set in a peaceful location also for those that want to rest.
