The villages of Kingsand and Cawsand sit on Cornwall's south coast near Bude, where the shoreline curves around sheltered beaches and pubs line the narrow streets. Coastal Haven is a traditional cottage here, positioned to catch views across the bay and offering direct access to Girt Beach from the property itself. The cottage holds three bedrooms—a king and twin on the first floor, a double on the lower ground floor—sharing one bathroom and a shower room between them. It sleeps six and is yours alone for the duration of your stay.
The main living space is open-plan, with kitchen, dining and sitting areas flowing together under windows that frame the sea view. A patio with table and chairs opens onto the beach below, making a morning swim or evening coffee straightforward. The cottage is built across three levels in the style of older Cornish homes, which means sloped ceilings, narrow stairs, and one quirk worth noting: the shower room on the lower ground floor has a low entrance, with a height restriction of 5ft 5in. Electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard; you'll need to bring beach towels separately. Smoking is not permitted.
Kingsand itself has no private parking, but the pay-and-display car park is a two-minute walk away. The village pub is within a mile, and Crackington Haven's dramatic cliffs lie nearby for walking. This works well for families wanting direct beach access and a genuine village base rather than an isolated rural retreat.
