Creekside is a semi-detached cottage backing on to a tidal creek that feeds into the Camel River. The building sits in Little Petherick, a wooded hamlet where walking routes branch off along the waterside towards Padstow and inland across farmland. The Saints Way—a coast-to-coast path—runs past the door. Padstow itself is a ten-minute drive away, known for its working harbour, restaurants and pubs.
The cottage comprises two bedrooms and two bathrooms across a ground and first floor. Downstairs, an open-plan living and dining space connects to the kitchen, which has an electric cooker and full-sized appliances for self-catering; a utility room contains the washer-dryer. One bedroom—with two single beds—opens on to its own shower room. Upstairs, the second bedroom has a king bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. A large decked area at the rear overlooks the creek and is furnished for outdoor use. Wi-Fi, electricity and bed linen are included; the property uses electric heating. An EV charging point is available, and there is parking for one car on site. No smoking.

Great location to stay and everything you need for a self catering holiday

What a lovely place to spend a holiday! This is really a 4.5 star review but Google doesn't allow half stars. Close to Padstow and reasonably placed to allow a good exploration of all of Cornwall, this cottage is well equipped for your self-catering holiday and has an extremely comfortable master bed. It's within walking distance of Padstow but the Creekside walk takes in some hills and dirt tracks and it leaves you a bit sweaty and dusty/muddy on a hot day so we'd recommend trying a taxi company if you're planning on a drink and/or meal. Finding a taxi was also a challenge so we'd recommend "@taxis". The facilities of the cottage are very good. The decking area is perfect for sitting out for all purposes. There are two bathrooms both with shower facilities and one has a bath. The kitchen is well-stocked with equipment and even includes a knife sharpener! There's WiFi and Freesat TV plus a couple of fans for when the place gets too hot. There is a BBQ provided but we didn't try it so can't comment on that. Only downsides are the cooker, the electric hob struggled to heat a pan on any ring, so meals took way longer to make so we mostly just ate breakfast in the cottage - which is fine as it's a holiday. The boiler temperature could do with being turned down or mixer taps installed, as any hot tap running for more than 10 seconds became scalding. The standard of cleaning was good but not quite meticulous, by which I mean, it was very clean but certain items hadn't been checked between guests such as cooking items and glasses/ plates etc- which is mostly just bad etiquette from previous guests. Overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay and the owners have a place to be proud of.
