Fentrigan Manor Farm Holiday Cottages - Bill and Ben’s Cottage

Photo: Fentrigan Manor Farm & Holiday Cottages

Bill and Ben's Cottage began life as a milking shippen, the stone buildings where the farm's dairy herd was kept. The conversion has kept its character intact—stone walls, a granite fireplace and a wood-burning stove in the main living space set the tone for a stay that feels rooted in the working landscape around it. The cottage is yours alone, sleeping six across three bedrooms: a kingsize on the ground floor with an adjacent bathroom (bath and separate walk-in shower), a kingsize with ensuite upstairs, and a twin room. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, there's a dining room, and the lounge has a Smart TV if you need it. Electricity, heating, bed linen and wifi are all included.

The farm grounds themselves are part of the appeal. Fishing, pony rides, alpaca walks and seasonal clay pigeon shooting happen here. Children have a dedicated play area and a communal play barn. A tennis court is shared with other properties on the site. Outside the cottage door, your private patio has a gas barbecue and garden furniture; the large garden is fenced. You have parking for two cars. Pets stay free. The location near Launceston puts you within reach of the Cornish coast and countryside, though the farm activities alone keep many guests occupied throughout their time here.

We visit here annually as a family, and the kids love it! Wonderful way to connect with nature and get away from modern devices. Great areas for day trips around the area. Kids help feed the animals and have trailer rides.

It’s has taken me far too long to write this review! Our stay at Fentrigan Manor Farm was superb! The hosts are nothing short of fantastic. They went above and beyond in every way. The additional activities were such a hit - from adults to our youngest (8 yrs old) everyone had the best time! Our final evening meal, beautifully cooked by Gay, was the best end to a phenomenal holiday. We were treated like family right from the start. We shall be returning - soon! Hope to do a Christmas retreat here as well! I would recommend Fentrigan Manor Farm to everyone! Cannot say enough good things about the farm or the hosts!

Had a great holiday with the family. The opportunities to interact with (ride/walk/feed etc.) various animals were superb for our 8/6/3yos. The hosts went out of their way to give them the best experience they could. There was also pool, table tennis, tennis (court in good condition), swings, sandpit... even if it rains all week (it didn't!) there really is plenty to do. The accommodation was very nice and worked just fine for my wheelchair-using wife. Although it isn't kitted out with a full wet room Adele was able to get around just fine and I could help her with the shower.

We stayed for a week in October 2020 and couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing week in Cornwall. The cottages are clean and fresh, there is lots of activities for all to do and Farmer Richard and Gay are amazing hosts. Richard organises pony rides, animal feeds, trailer rides and alpaca walks amongst many more! Gay does amazing home cooked meals which you can have delivered hot to your cottage in the evenings. The dog, Oscar, is a highlight! We will definitely return- thanks for a great trip!
