Had an amazing time with my husband on our anniversary. Train Driver Pete is such a gem for the company! Extremely friendly and helpful, he clearly loves his job and is an asset to them! Go on his train and have a chat and it really made our day! The mansion is great but does get busy. The rest of the rooms are full of great puzzles designed to get you using your brain but not too difficult. There are 3 varying level trials to complete and each have their own unique puzzles to find and complete. There is one restaurant on site with outdoor seating behind the mansion but it does get busy. Gift shop is decent and full of puzzles and trinkets but not much in way of Hidden Valley souvenirs. Parking is ample with an overflow one available too. Cant wait to go back with my older children.

Wow! What a great day we have just had. 5 adults, 4 kids( 16, 15, 14 and 10). This is suited to all ages and especially people who love a quiz or puzzle. There are 3 puzzles you walk around gathering answers from in the cute hobbit style forest. Easy, a bit harder and "bloody el"levels. Our eldest at 19 was frustrated that she couldn't complete the hardest level lol. To be fair we were there 11am till 5pm and needed a couple more hours. The mansion was great fun, the escape room was good and the play area was immaculate....as was the whole venue. It looks brand new and very well kept. We went in the cafe twice and felt the prices were very fair and good quality. We would definitely return....with or without kids! Well done to the owners of Hidden Valley, great idea, great staff and beautiful surroundings. Thank you!

The Hidden Valley is different from anywhere that we've been before in the UK. The sight isn't large but we still managed to walk over 6 miles throughout the day. We were surprised at how busy it was, but as there are different puzzle trails, an escape room, a maze, and the Professors Mansion to explore, it didn't feel too busy, and queues were short. Hidden Valley is a great day out, and we spent the full day there; I am sure that we could have spent most of a 2nd day too. Unfortunately the ticket only does you for one visit, although if you pay an additional £10 per person, you can purchase a return ticket which last 2 years. As we were only down on holiday, we didn't bother buying it. There is a cafe selling sandwiches and pasties, and there are 2 picnic areas, one in the trees, and one covered over in a courtyard. There is a good amount of picnic tables, and there are a decent amount of benches around the sight too. The cafe has 2 fridges with sandwiches, bottled water and juice, however, one was 8.7°, and the other 4.8°, so the cans weren't very cold. Every day out, the kids want ice-cream, however, it's only ice lollies here. One thing I really felt that was missing was hydration points. It was 28° with no cloud, we were melting. We took water bottles and extra water, but with all the walking, we really needed topping up. I asked a member of staff about filling our water bottles and I was told I could use the taps around the sight as the water is clean and drinkable. I hope it is, as we all filled up a few times. I'd also add, the taps were sporadic and slow, not really ideal. For a family of 5, it cost us close to £100 to enter, which we don't grudge, but having well maintained, signposted water points would just be perfect. Overall, we had an excellent day. We will visit Cornwall again a few times over the next few years, and we may return to Hidden Valley as there is more to do, but we will be ticking off other locations beforehand. If you visit, ignore the harder quest and focus on the easier ones first. The Professor Puzzlewit Trail takes a large chunk of your visit, and you could miss out on other things because of it. Be sure to visit the little Tremuddlewick Village, press the doorbells and be sure to open the toilet door! In fact, open it 5 times in a row for a laugh!
