Frieda And The Moon - The Observatory

Looe's working harbour and narrow streets sit a short drive from this copper-clad tiny house, built into a wooded paddock with views down to the valley. The setting matters here—Polperro and Fowey are nearby for coastal exploring, while Golitha Falls and Bodmin Moor offer inland walks and wilder terrain.
The Observatory sleeps two in a single bedroom with a kingsize bed positioned under a large skylight, specifically designed so you can watch the night sky from bed. The open-plan living space handles cooking and dining; there's underfloor heating and a shower room with a cubicle shower. What distinguishes this place is the detail: copper and zinc exterior, six stained-glass portholes, oak and brass joinery inside. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. A private hot tub sits on your patio, and private parking is available for two cars.
The property is no-smoking. One dog is welcome. You arrive after 15:00 and depart before 11:00.

What guests say
From the very first enquiry Perla was kind, intuitive, and able to recommend and plan our perfect day. Everything was prompt, professional, and sorted in just three emails. When we arrived we were made very welcome and when we first saw the setting we were blown away. The photos do not in any way do it justice. There were a couple of things we had overlooked/not organised when we arrived and Jo and Perla were quick to help, give perfect advice, and ensure everything ran smoothly. It was a tiny wedding of five people but everything was adapted and personalised to suit every member of our party. Nothing was too much trouble and they worked tirelessly our whole stay. We also had a ceremony at the Hornbeam Circle which we would absolutely say was magical and was a highlight of our day. There are not enough superlatives to explain how enjoyable, magical, and smooth our whole stay was, absolutely amazing! Perfect in every way!

Where do we even begin…we cannot thank Perla & Jo enough! Frieda and the Moon really is a special place! Such a unique wedding venue, intimate and set in the most beautiful surroundings. If you want a small, intimate wedding, with bit of added quirkiness, then this is the place, from the on site accommodation, which we would highly recommend, to The Studio, nothing was ever too much trouble for Perla & Jo. The Tabernacle and Observatory have everything you need for a few nights…so cosy and comfortable with the added bonus of the hot tubs! Our little Pug certainly enjoyed herself! The bell tent that was set up for extended family was perfect too, along with great facilities that the kids loved. The wedding day was perfect…The Studio is beautiful, food delicious and Perla & Jo just let you get on to enjoy your day, but are always on hand if you need anything. This just helps you and your guests feel more relaxed. The fire pit is a nice added addition to relax after the sun goes down, with some toasted marshmallows. The flowers supplied by Babs were beautiful too! We honestly have the best memories to last a lifetime, and the family are still talking about it now! It was really hard to leave, as the place is truly wonderful, I think the family who stayed on site with us would have stayed for longer if they could! We can’t wait to return! We had a completely fabulous wedding at Frieda & the Moon this month, and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful small wedding. It is such a wonderful venue, but it’s about more than just the place! Perla and Jo are so helpful and supportive with pre-arrangements and making sure everything runs smoothly on the day, nothing was too much trouble for us or our guests. It all makes for a perfect, relaxing environment and certainly made our ideal day. We spent a great couple of days there and everything was lovely; beautiful views, quirky accommodation, relaxing hot tub, and some extra little touches that truly make it feel special (like the welcome treats, champagne breakfast., high tea, and the late-night fire pit, not to mention the magical, candlelit ‘horn beam circle’). Frieda & the Moon is a truly special place.
