Porth's position on Cornwall's south coast makes it an easy base for seaside days. The village sits within reach of the South West Coastal Path, rock pools for foraging and crabbing, fishing spots that work year-round, and a children's play area. Mermaids occupies the ground floor of a seafront complex, a short walk from Porth Beach Bridge and the sands themselves. One private parking space comes with the property; additional parking is available in the village.
The apartment holds two bedrooms and one bathroom across a single level. Bedroom one has a double bed; bedroom two has two singles. The living and dining room opens onto a decked garden area with outdoor furniture and an outdoor shower. Everything needed for self-catering is in the kitchen—oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, and a washer-dryer. Essentials including wifi, bed linen and towels are provided. The property is non-smoking and welcomes one pet.
The Mermaids pub operates from the same complex, serving fish and chips, burgers, scampi and other food throughout the day. The location suits families wanting beach access without driving, couples seeking coastal walks, and anyone wanting the option of dining locally without cooking. A cot and highchair are available if needed.

Great family-friendly place to eat. The manager found us a car parking space, we ate outside (there are nets above the outside seating to keep seagulls at bay). Food was great and reasonably priced compared to other places. Portions are good as well! The beach it leads to is really nice. Overall great atmosphere and would definitely recommend! 👍

Nice staff, lovely drinks and food, fresh sea breeze once in a while, watching the beach life and the sunset - what’s not to like?

A great pub with a lovely location and views right on Porth Beach. The staff are warm and friendly and the food is delicious. I had fish and chips and was really happy with the fish in particular. Really crispy batter and a big chunky fillet of haddock inside. They also show sport if you fancy it. Would recommend calling ahead if you want to go in for dinner and your party is bigger than 2 as it’s a popular spot.
