The Haven

Crantock is a quiet village on Cornwall's north coast, known for its broad sandy beach, the Gannel estuary, and direct access to the South Coast Path. The Haven sits just over a mile away—close enough for a short drive or a longer walk. Newquay, with its beaches, shops, restaurants and attractions like the zoo and boating lake, is about two and a half miles further along the coast.

This 250-year-old farmhouse has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, sleeping six. The ground floor holds a living room with a TV and DVD player, plus a kitchen with oven, hob, microwave and washing machine. Upstairs are two further bedrooms. One ground-floor bedroom has an ensuite shower. The property overlooks farmland from a south-facing garden with seating and a barbecue; you have parking for two cars on site. Bed linen and towels are provided; heating and electricity are included. The house is non-smoking.

The location suits families wanting beach access without the intensity of Newquay's busier stretches, or anyone looking for coastal walking and proximity to attractions like the Eden Project and Heligan Gardens. Crantock village has two pubs, two tearooms and a shop within walking distance.
