🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

The Hollies

Photo: Terry Beard

The Hollies is a one-bedroom cottage on the edge of St Austell, set on a single level with everything you need for self-catering. The layout centres on an open-plan living and dining area with a kitchen where you can cook properly—electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave and full-sized fridge included. Freeview television, French doors opening onto an enclosed courtyard, and heating throughout mean you're comfortable whatever the weather. A kingsize bedroom and shower room complete the space.

The courtyard is a genuinely useful feature: enclosed, furnished and equipped with a barbecue. Parking for two cars sits on the property itself. Essentials like bed linen, towels, wi-fi and utilities are covered, so you arrive and settle in. The cottage suits couples; children under 16 are not accommodated. There is a shallow water feature in the courtyard to be aware of.

St Austell's shops and pubs are a short walk away. The historic port at Charlestown, the Eden Project and Pinetum Gardens are all within reasonable distance, while Porthpean beach is another option for a day out. The location puts you roughly central to the attractions of mid-Cornwall without being in the middle of a town.

Terry and Bim were wonderful hosts, the cottage is perfect, containing everything you would need to enjoy 1 night or 2 weeks! I was visiting as working in the area, The Hollies was recommended and booked for me for one night, it was so good, I decided to book and stay another. Perfectly located to explore Cornwall for business or pleasure. Thank you such much!
