About Duke of Cornwall
St Austell puts the Eden Project and the Cornish coast within easy reach, making the Duke of Cornwall a practical base for exploring both. The hotel sits on Victoria Road in Mount Charles, with free on-site parking making it simple to head out for the day and return without hassle.
The seven rooms are kept clean and well presented, with comfortable beds and reliably hot showers, though some rooms can pick up noise from elsewhere in the building. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel is generally considered good value for the price. A restaurant and bar are on site, breakfast is served each morning, and free WiFi is available throughout, with luggage storage handy for those coming and going on day trips.
The hotel also has meeting rooms and hosts weddings, so it caters to more than just overnight stays. For visitors, it works well as a stopping point between exploring the Eden Project and spending time along the Cornish coastline.

Long story short: these are good people. A young lad had a minor bike accident nearby and got himself pretty banged up. The owner and staff took care of him, stored his bike, and made sure he was okay, with patrons offering comfort and support too. He wasn't a customer and didn't have any money on him, but they helped anyway. That kind of kindness says a lot about a place. I'll definitely have to come back and try the food now.

A bit of a locals pub , very noisy with traffic as it's on a junction so don't expect a lot of sleep if your staying there. They don't serve food. and there is no option of a breakfast. Rooms are ok but need reorganising, little space to hang clothes , the tea making facilities could of been more generous not to mention an awkward kettle and only one set of towels for two people. No fan provided during the mega hot weather so the room was unbearably hot. On the whole grossly overpriced for what you pay and what you get.. it's a bit of a let down , which is a shame as the staff were friendly enough.

For an old pub, the room was great. Quite a large bathroom and comfy bed. The staff were friendly and helpful.
