The Nook is a self-contained cabin in rural Cornwall near Bude, designed to evoke an upturned fishing boat—a nod to the coastal heritage of storage vessels once used by working communities. It sleeps four across two bedrooms and one bathroom, with electricity, bed linen and towels included in your stay.
Inside, a kitchenette with electric cooking, kettle and toaster lets you prepare meals, and there's a drop-leaf table for dining. The en-suite shower room contains a toilet, shower and sink. You'll find a smart TV with DVD player and WiFi for entertainment, plus an electric heater for warmth. The real draw is outside: a private decking area fronts the cabin, with a gravelled space beside it where seating surrounds a firepit for evening gatherings and cooking. Bird-spotting guides, stargazing notes and OS maps are provided so you can explore the surrounding moorland and night sky. A pub lies within a mile, and the Rustic Tea Garden is nearby for daytime visits. Smoking is not permitted inside.

Our family had a truly magical fortnight at the Nook. What a special little cottage in an amazing location. Waking each morning to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach, days spent playing on body boards in the surf, evenings sitting out on the deck watching the sun set over the ocean. Idyllic! So much to do for the family near by. The cottage itself is a charming period fishing cottage with low beams (you will bang your head!) and a lovely garden with a fire pit. We would love to go back and would recommend it without hesitation. The beach at Northcott never got crowed (even on the hottest of days) and the RNLI life guards make sure you (and importantly the kids) are safe in the water (make a donation if you stay!)
