The Whitehouse occupies the second floor of a modern development on Cornwall's north coast, within walking distance of Watergate Bay's award-winning beach. The apartment sleeps four: a super king bed in the bedroom, plus two sofa beds in the open-plan living area that can accommodate one adult each. One dog is welcome, though must be kept on a lead in the grounds.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and a wine cooler—a genuine asset after a day on the water. A bathroom with bath and shower, heated towel rail and wi-fi throughout are included. Parking is allocated for one car, with an electric vehicle charging point available (charged separately to the owner). The shared garden has a barbecue and outdoor shower, and there's storage for surf equipment on site.

Watergate Bay sits between Padstow and Newquay, known for water sports including surfing, kitesurfing and wave skiing. The beach itself hosts the Extreme Sports Academy. Away from the coast, The Eden Project, Bedruthan Steps and Kynance Cove are within reach for a change of pace.
