Couples and small families will find Moderno works well as a self-contained base. The cottage is a converted barn arranged over two floors: downstairs holds a king bedroom with ensuite bathroom, plus a second bedroom with two single beds and its own shower room. Upstairs, an open-plan living and dining space includes a woodburner, and the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher and all the basics. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are included. One well-behaved dog stays free of charge.

The location sits in quiet countryside roughly 8 miles from the coast, yet within reach of Cornish beaches and the South West Coastal Path. Liskeard, just 2 miles away, has shops, pubs and a scenic train line down to the fishing port of Looe. Plymouth, the Eden Project and various gardens and historic houses are within a short drive. More immediate options include Siblyback Lake for water sports five miles on, and Adrenalin Quarry and a karting track less than a mile away. You have parking for two cars on site and an enclosed patio with seating and a barbecue. No smoking inside. Check-in is after 3pm, checkout before 10am.
