Tregrill Farm Cottages - New England

The South Cornwall coast lies a short drive away, with fishing villages like Polperro and Looe accessible for a day out, and the South West Coastal Path nearby for coastal walks. The Eden Project, Cotehele and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are all within easy reach, as is the Rame Peninsula with its quiet beaches. Whitsand Bay, popular with water sports enthusiasts, sits 12 miles away. From Liskeard, 2 miles off, you can take the scenic train journey to Looe. Plymouth is 30 minutes' drive, home to the National Marine Aquarium and the historic Barbican. Countryside walks start from the door, and Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor are accessible for exploration.

New England is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage sleeping six, arranged over two floors in a converted 1824 barn. Downstairs holds a four-poster king bedroom with its own shower room, a double bedroom, and a single twin, plus a separate toilet. Upstairs is a living space open-plan across lounge, dining and kitchen areas, with a multi-fuel burner, freeview television and DVD player. The kitchen is equipped for full self-catering, including oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are provided, along with initial logs for the burner. An enclosed patio with garden furniture and a barbecue adjoins the property. Two cars can park on site. One well-behaved pet stays free. No smoking.

A cosy cottage with modern furnishings easily fits 4 people. Very well insulated but if needed a wood burner can be used to give it that little bit of a boost. It's got a very good location close enough to a main road to make travelling around Cornwall easy but not close enough to be a nuisance.

This was our 3rd time staying and it is always a joy. The attention to detail such as having a cold bag and picnic things provided for you to use for a day out, the games room, the strong WiFi for the kids and their all important screens :-) it is these little touches that make it so home like when using one of their gorgeous self contained cottages.

Quiet and peaceful. A loaf would be more helpful on a Sunday arrival than twee biscuits.

Really nice cottages, but finding the right road to use is really important as it is on some tight country roads. Inbetween Plymouth and St Austell, so really convenient for lots of tourist attractions.
