Little Gem is a self-contained cottage sleeping two, part of a Victorian property near Bude in north Cornwall. Everything you need is on one level: a combined living and dining space opening onto a private patio, a kitchen with electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and washing machine, a bedroom with a super king bed, and a bathroom. The essentials—heating, electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels—are included, along with parking for one car on site.
The bathroom centres on a freestanding bath with spa jets, and there's a separate walk-in shower. The living area has a smart TV and gas fire; the bedroom has one too. The kitchen has decent counter space and a coffee machine. Your patio is south-facing with garden furniture. Smoking is not permitted. This property does not accept children or babies.
Bude's sandy beaches are a few miles away, suited to swimming, surfing, paddleboarding and kayaking. The immediate area is quieter and more rural, making it a base for exploring the coast or simply a retreat from busier seaside spots.

I cannot thank Rowan enough for the kindness, care and incredible help he showed my parents when they really needed it. They had just had a terrible experience trying to check in at another holiday accommodation and were left with nowhere to stay. It was Saturday evening, they were tired, stressed and understandably very upset, and I was desperately trying to find somewhere for them at short notice. Rowan could not have been more helpful. He went completely above and beyond to help me arrange a cottage for them, and from the moment they arrived, he made them feel so welcome and looked after. He even got them Prosecco and personally met them on arrival, which was such a thoughtful touch after what had been an incredibly difficult day. His warmth, friendliness, attentiveness and genuine kindness completely turned their day around. What could have been a really upsetting experience became something they now look back on with such gratitude, largely because of how wonderfully Rowan treated them. He truly could not have been more helpful or caring, and I am so grateful that my parents had someone like him looking after them when they needed it most. An absolute credit to the team — thank you so much, Rowan!

We have been to Wooldown now 4 times. Each time we have visited we have tried out a different apartment. Skyfall, Moonraker, Shooting Star & Sundancer. All have been absolutely faultless. Rowan and the family have welcomed us and have been incredible hosts. Nothing is ever too much and the attention to detail is amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a quiet getaway with an amazing backdrop.

Having had many stays at Wooldown Holiday Cottages they continue to be a fantastic place to stay. Everything you need for a comfortable relaxed stay and excellent base to explore North Cornwall. I highly recommend Wooldown for couples wanting a luxury stay in Cornwall.

Amazing place really peaceful and relaxing 😌 absolutely spotless clean and fresh, Rowan who greeted us was extremely helpful and on call the whole time the bath tub really was the icing on the cake. We visited the little village which was really cute and had our breakfast at the the weir which was suggested by Rowan also. All in all fantastic hopefully we will be back We stayed in the sun seeker room
