Widemouth Bay stretches out just beyond the doorstep of Beach House B&B, with the Cornish coastal path running along the cliffs and the wide sandy beach a short walk away. Bude itself is close by, and the surrounding countryside offers cycling and walking routes, along with golf, fishing and horse riding for those wanting to venture further afield.
The B&B has 10 rooms, including family and accessible options, all en-suite with free WiFi and drinks available in room. Many rooms make the most of the sea views over the bay. Breakfast is included, and the on-site restaurant and bar serve fresh seafood and a Sri Lankan curry that regulars come back for, with generous portions for children and reasonable prices throughout. The atmosphere leans relaxed and bohemian, helped along by attentive staff and a garden with outdoor seating for warmer days.
There's also a spa and sauna on site for guests wanting to unwind after a day on the water or the coastal path, and free on-site parking makes arriving straightforward. If ever there was a reminder not to judge a book by its cover, this is it! The exterior looks in need of refurbishment and renovation - however, once inside the food (and wide drinks menu) are to die for! Had a gorgeous birthday meal here with friends. Stunning view over Widemouth Bay from our table. Beautiful fresh food, full of flavour - the prawn pad thai, monkfish and prawn curry and sardines with olive tapenade on toast were all amazing! Helpful and attentive staff too. What a gem of a place - we can’t wait to come back😋😎🌅🎉!

We didn’t stay here but had two very pleasant evening meals. Portions were generous and tasty. Don’t be put off by the exterior appearance, it’s very different inside. Staff friendly and happy to accommodate walk-ins. Shop next door is excellent, very helpful staff and very fresh food. Try it!

Highly, highly recommend. Didn’t stay in the rooms but went in for an evening meal. Absolutely awesome food. Local ingredients, really fresh and the fish/seafood are to die for. Haven’t had such good food since going to The Ritz, years back (couldn’t afford that now)! REALLY reasonable prices, staff were great and the views to the sea are mesmerising. Really chilled and laid back atmosphere.

We went for a meal here and were blown away with the sunset views. The service was super friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and portion sizes for adults and children were just right. There is direct access to the beach making it a wonderful place to visit.
