About Hendwr Caravan Park
Tucked into the Dee Valley on the edge of Snowdonia National Park, Hendwr is a small, family-run site on a working farm between Corwen and Bala. A stream meanders through the grounds – perfect for paddling and fishing – while pitches (grass and hardstanding, with electric hook-ups available) nestle at the foot of the Berwyn Mountains in the Clwydian Range AONB. The tranquil, tree-lined approach sets the tone for a genuinely peaceful stay.
Facilities are thoughtfully maintained: newly refurbished shower block, washing-up room, launderette, and an on-site shop stocked with local produce and advice on nearby attractions. Dogs are welcome year-round, and the owners go the extra mile – ordering your Sunday paper or even arranging hairdressing appointments if you fancy a trim. With jumbo tent pitches, tourer storage, and a walker-friendly location close to canoeing, climbing, and mountain biking, Hendwr strikes a fine balance between remote tranquillity and practical convenience.

What visitors say
First year here and couldn’t be happier, staff are so kind and helpful. Lovely community atmosphere, beautiful views and safe for the children. Hoping to spend many years here. The site is clean and well maintained. The addition of an on-site laundrette is an added bonus.

It's a lovely quiet spot! After being forced off a north Wales coastal park when it was bought by a large 'family' owned group, Hendwr was recommended by someone within the caravan park Industry. Rather than sell our caravan at a huge loss to the park (probably what they wanted to they could sell it on for a huge profit) or let them move it off a prime spot, we had our property moved to Hendwr. It's a very peaceful park and I'd recommend it. EDIT - we have are pleased to have made so many new friends, many of whom supported my charity concert in 2025, and we've been involved in social events.

I have just recently purchased a new caravan from Hendwr. The staff could not help enough went above and beyond, especially Dani who made the transition from buying to moving in very smooth. Nothing was two much trouble. Would highly recommend this park to anyone.

A warm and welcoming site in a beautiful location. I have been visiting for forty years there have some improvements and changes. But here I am again and will continue as long as I have health and ability. Ideal for walking, relaxing and good services in easy reach of the site. Thoroughly recommended for all ages.
