Crucis - The Cotswolds Barn
Cotswold
Photo: Google Maps
Crucis occupies part of a 500-acre country estate on the edge of Ampney Crucis, a Cotswold village two miles from Cirencester. The conversion holds four bedrooms across its ground floor: two with king beds and full bathrooms, two with paired singles and shower rooms. A study, generous living and dining space with an open fire, and a kitchen equipped for self-catering complete the layout. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included; initial logs for the fire come with the property.
The grounds wrap around the barn with a terrace and garden furniture, though there are steps down into the garden and a stream runs across the estate 440 yards away. Three cars can park on site. The area draws walkers, cyclists and riders; the Cotswold Water Park lies close by, while Cheltenham, Westonbirt Arboretum, Burford and Stow-on-the-Wold are all within reach. One well-behaved pet is welcome. The property does not permit smoking, and note that access involves open and narrow stairs.
