About Cotswold Farm Park Campsite

Cotswold Farm Park sits high on the wolds at Guiting Power, part of Adam Henson's working rare-breeds farm where Gloucester cattle and Cotswold sheep graze alongside your pitch. The rural setting is genuinely exposed—expect wind and pack warm layers even in summer—but families rarely mind, with entry to the farm park included, plus bouncy pillows, a zipwire and a two-mile wildlife walk straight off site. Reviewers praise the friendly staff and well-maintained facilities, though a few note the shower block can feel a little tired during peak times and pitches book up fast in school holidays.

There are 25 premium pitches (half hardstanding, half grass) with full servicing, plus 29 grass electric hook-ups. Glamping options include pods from around £50 and safari tents sleeping five with private bathrooms from £135, making shoulder seasons more comfortable if April under canvas doesn't appeal. The Ox Shed restaurant and farm shop sit on site, and it's a fifteen-minute drive to Stow-on-the-Wold. Dogs welcome, though the usual livestock cautions apply.

Great campsite - clean toilets, showers with good water pressure (at times too warm) and family facilities. The proximity to the farm park was a big highlight, and there's also a cafe which is open early to late for coffee/breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also had food trucks and evening entertainment, plus later entry to the park after closing, which was a huge bonus. Fantastic value as well. Would highly recommend. The only thing I was not so keen on was the 'farm shop' which had a very limited food selection and was more of a gift shop.

It's a largish, family oriented wildlife zoo. All sorts of animals to see especially in the outside paddocks and had reasonable amount of space. You need to hav your ticket in hand in arrival as they are checked after driving through the main gate...otherwise you hold up the queue! Food/drink/ice cream kiosks dotted around the park with a large restaurant area as well. Plenty of space for picnics everywhere. Large play area with all sorts of equipment to keep youngsters amused to bring a change to "just looking at animals". Must sees: rhinos, cloud leopards, anacondas, penguins and some animals we'd never heard of!

The well kept Farm Park is suitable for young children and would benefit from an indoor play area with slides, climbing frames etc for wet days. Interesting selection of rare breed animals and descriptive signs around explaining the progress of farming. 2 stunning wildlife walks which are a must. Friendly helpful staff, nice gift shop and an excellent full English breakfast. We enjoyed the singer on Saturday evening. Stayed at the attached caravan park with great facilities although the shower temperature was too hot. This was reported. Also when the farm closes there are no play facilities on the site for children.

There was plenty of parking available, although it could get muddy in wet weather. We visited as a family of three and paid around £55, which felt a little expensive. The online booking link wasn't working, and there was no clear pricing displayed on arrival. The animals appeared well cared for and had spacious enclosures. We enjoyed feeding the animals and watching the live lambing, which was a thrilling experience. There were also plenty of activities to keep children entertained, along with refreshment kiosks and gift shop. It was a pleasant family day out and worth a one-time visit.
