About Old Hall House

Old Hall House began life as a country house in the 1500s, and that heritage still shows in its character, even though the interior has been brought comfortably up to date. With only 7 rooms, it has the feel of a small boutique retreat rather than a large hotel, set on Meriden Road just outside Coventry.

Rooms come with air conditioning and drinks provided, and breakfast is included to start the day. There's a casual bar and restaurant on site for meals without needing to travel further, plus a garden for stepping outside. The property also has a spa and sauna, an indoor swimming pool, and a gym, along with a lift, porter and concierge services, and meeting rooms for those combining business with a stay.

Old Hall House also works as a wedding venue, with childcare available for families who need it, and free on-site parking makes arriving straightforward. Its position near Meriden gives easy access into Coventry itself, making it a practical base for exploring the area while returning to a historic building with modern comforts each evening.

We stayed for the first time this weekend and I honestly couldn’t really fault it, my only tiny fault would be the tv at the end of the bed in pod David doesn’t actually work but the staff were great and offered us to stay in the house but we kindly declined and stayed in our pod we enjoyed it and loved all the quirky decor in the bar/restraunt! we’ve decided we’re coming back next month ☺️happily recommend and the prices are great! see you soon guys, Sasha and chris

I was duped when booking this hotel. It showed pictures of a house and rooms within. In reality I had booked a wooden glamping pod in a field. It doesn’t have a sink or toilet, just a bed. It was -2 outside and I had to put a fan heater on all night just to stay warm. The toilet and shower are outside so either cross your legs or become frozen getting to them. £50 to stay in a wooden box smaller than a sauna is not what I wanted or expected. Be careful when booking and take a good look at what you have actually booked and not the misleading pictures. The restaurant next door was nice but breakfast doesn’t start until 07:30 which was the time I had to leave. Who starts breakfast at 07:30? Most people are up and in their way to work at this time.

Booked through a third party and had been upgraded for free from Pod 1 (automatically assigned via third party) to Pod 2 as I had emailed to ask what this would cost, which was great. This hadn't been noted on arrival as we were noted as Pod 1 but was upgraded again anyway to Ethel (Shepherds Hut). We really appreciated this and the staff were lovely. However, the hut was dirty (dirty towel, uncleaned shower with half used shampoo on the floor), sticky floor, stain on pillow and duvet. Mattress was hard and lumpy - worst night's sleep we ever had, woke up really aching. We booked for 2 nights but left after 1 and booked a travelodge. Do not recommend staying here unfortunately. Food on site was average but overpriced.

What a find. Perfect location for the NEC . EXTREMELY good value for money, and a nice surprise when we asked for the bill for breakfast to find it was included. We had an evening meal on our arrival. The restaurant on site had an excellent selection and the food was very nice. We stayed in the house. Oldie worldie decor, and the room was quirky. Only niggle, there was a small step leading into the bathroom and a massive trip hazard at night, leading you straight into the sink. Not enough to put us off staying again, just need to be aware of and remember the step. We had a late check-in, which we did through the restaurant staff, who were very friendly and helpful. Check out again straightforward.
