About Riverside Caravan and Camping Park
Riverside Caravan and Camping Park puts you within walking distance of Crickhowell's high street while keeping one foot firmly in the countryside. Pitches run down towards the River Usk, with views back to Table Mountain rising behind the town. It's a rare combination – close enough to stroll to the castle ruin, pubs and shops, yet still offering a quiet riverside setting where anglers can fish stretches of the Usk running through the site (day permits available on-site).
The park takes tourers, motorhomes and tents on a mix of grass and hardstanding, with electric hook-ups available across most pitches. Flat, level ground and modern shower blocks make it a practical choice for families or first-timers. Campfires are allowed, dogs are welcome year-round, and the location suits groups – D. of E., motorcyclists and rallies all find space here.
Beyond fishing, you're well placed for the Table Mountain footpath directly from town, the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal towpath a short cycle away, and gentler routes than the steeper Black Mountains climbs further afield. Book early for July and August.

We arrived at Riverside Campsite in Llangammarch at short notice and were lucky enough to get an electric hook-up pitch. As it was the first trip in our new camper van, we had forgotten our hook-up cable, but the owners were incredibly helpful and kindly lent us one. The site feels very safe and secure, with spotless facilities throughout. There’s also a beautiful stream running along the edge of the campsite which we explored on our paddle board — a real highlight of the stay. A lovely little hidden gem with brilliant owners. A super place and we will definitely return.

My mother has a seasonal touring caravan on this site, we go up twice a year to settup and pack away. My mother loves it as it is quiet and piece full for her and the dog and she can catch a bus to Abergavenny and monmouth for shopping. It's only a small site right by the river, it is well. Maintained and clean

A beautiful campsite, clean and well maintained. Staff all lovely. Dog and child friendly. The river is perfect for the kids to paddle and catch small fish. My kids had the best time.

Beautiful and well maintained campsite with great, clean facilities. James and family all very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the paddock which was lovely and quiet and very private. We even got to say hello to the sheep, Poppy and Daisy who were in the field right next to us! Showers are 50p for 5 minutes but it’s just enough time Good central location for places like the Four Falls Trail and Pen Y Fan (1 hour drive) or Hafren Forest (also 1 hour drive). Thank you for a lovely stay, would definitely recommend and will be visiting again in the future!
