Llangammarch Wells sits quietly in the Irfon Valley, surrounded by walking country that ranges from gentle village strolls to serious hill terrain. The Epynt Way begins at the property itself, climbing to views across Mid Wales; the Brecon Beacons are a half-hour drive away. Builth Wells, seven miles south, has restaurants, bars and shops, plus the Royal Welsh Show grounds. A spa hotel on the village edge offers another way to spend a day if the weather turns.
Abercyros Cottage is a detached four-bedroom house sleeping eight, with four bathrooms so mornings run smoothly. Downstairs you'll find two reception rooms with woodburners, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, and a conservatory overlooking the garden. Upstairs, the bedrooms split into doubles and super kingsize options (convertible to twin singles if needed), most with televisions. A games room comes with table football and a Nintendo Wii for days when outdoor activity doesn't appeal.
The enclosed garden is the main draw for families—lawned, fenced and furnished with seating and a barbecue. A private hot tub sits on the patio. Four cars can park on site. Heating, electricity, wi-fi and bed linen are provided; initial logs for the woodburners are included. No smoking inside. Check-in is after 4pm, check-out before 10am.
