Wonder World Soft Play (Previously Noahs Ark Perth)

Today my daughter and I attended two birthday parties back-to-back at Wonderworld Perth. One started at 11:45am and the second at 2:00pm. First of all, I want to make it very clear that my comments are not directed at the parents who organised the parties, but at the venue and its staff. The photo I am attaching shows the piece of birthday cake we received from the first party. This was literally two tiny bites of cake. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have noticed this. It seems to be common practice for staff to cut extremely small portions for guests, while very little cake appears to be returned to the parents afterwards. Today’s portion was honestly shocking. The second party was even more disappointing. There was no staff member available to serve the children or assist the parents. The sandwiches were still wrapped on the table and parents had to unwrap and distribute the food themselves. In reality, the parents ended up doing most of the serving and organising throughout the party. There was also a large amount of leftover catering food for both adults and children. When we asked for it to be packed up, the containers we were given did not seem to reflect the amount of food that had actually been left. I genuinely do not understand why this happens. What disappointed me most was the complete lack of engagement from the staff. There was very little attention given to the birthday child or the guests. Party bags were simply left on a bench for parents to hand out themselves. There was no enthusiasm, no interaction, and no effort to create a special atmosphere for the children. A Peppa Pig character visit had been booked as part of the party package. While the character did eventually arrive, it was far too late. By that point the children had already eaten, sung Happy Birthday, waited for quite some time, and eventually gone off to play. The opportunity for a memorable interaction had been completely missed. On top of that, whenever we visit Wonderworld Perth and try to order drinks or get assistance, the staff are consistently slow and unhelpful. Sadly, this is not a one-off experience. It seems to happen every time we visit. The facilities themselves are great for children, but the level of customer service and party management is extremely disappointing and falls far below what parents are paying for. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves the experience for future families.

In the summer holidays, you are always looking for things to do with the kids. Easy to book online for a two hour play session. Ample parking at the play centre. Disabled access too. A very secure play centre which puts your mind at each to know the kids are safe and sound. Staff always on hand and so helpful and friendly. Food and drinks available at the centre too at good prices. Ample seating with tables and chairs too. We all had a great time and a big thumbs up from the little one's we took for a play date.

We took my little 1 year old grandson to Wonder World yesterday. It was very busy as there was a birthday party taking place. We were unable to put my grandson in the under 3 soft play area as there were several children in there that were much older than 3! They were running around throwing things and jumping about so we were worried that my grandson would be hurt. The area is not monitored by staff and some parents were not watching their children. My gransdon was in the little ball pit when a child about 7 jumped into it. He could have been seriously hurt. There was no staff around to talk to apart from the staff in the cafe and they were extremely busy. There was nobody at the front desk when we left either. It was a visitor that opened the door for us but he couldn't get in. Wonder World is a great place for kids if used properly. We will return again but not at the weekend as too many older children running around the under 3 area.

Very disappointed with the party arrangements today. I had my son’s party here last year and it was superb, which is why I chose the same venue again for my daughter’s party. Unfortunately, the experience was completely different. There was not enough food, and the overall organisation was poor. I informed the manager during the event, but she said there were not enough staff. This is not acceptable, especially when everything was fully paid in advance and we expected the same level of service as before. It was embarrassing, and I even had to apologise to other parents because of the poor arrangements. Overall, I am very disappointed with the service and would not recommend this venue based on this experience.
