St Bees beach and its dramatic cliffs are ten minutes on foot from Abbey Cottage. The village sits on the only Heritage Coast between Wales and Scotland, and marks the starting point for Alfred Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk. The Lake District National Park is a short drive inland. This makes the location work for walkers, families wanting coastal breaks, or anyone using St Bees as a base to explore Cumbria.
The cottage is a single-storey property with two bedrooms and one bathroom, sleeping four. Both bedrooms have smart TVs; the first has a king-size bed, the second two singles. The living and dining room centres on a woodburner. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, and everything else needed to cook properly. An enclosed front garden with seating faces the cottage, and there is bike storage on site. One dog stays free; a second small to medium dog can also be accommodated. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi, heating, and initial fuel for the stove are included.
The cottage does not permit smoking. On-road parking is available about 100 yards away.
