Keswick sits at the heart of the Lake District, surrounded by mountains and beside England's most popular lake. Blencathra is a compact apartment on the second floor of a converted building, positioned opposite the famous George Fisher climbing shop and within a couple of minutes' walk of pubs, restaurants and a supermarket. The fells rise directly from the village and are accessible on foot from your door; Derwentwater lies a ten-minute stroll away through Hope Park, where boat launches run regularly around the water.
The apartment contains a living room with a 32-inch TV and DVD player, a separate kitchen and dining area with a full electric cooker and washing machine, a double bedroom, and a bathroom with a bath and shower. Heating, electricity, bed linen and wifi are all included. There is a shared terrace, and a parking permit for the nearby public car park (180 yards away) comes with your stay. Access involves climbing several steps to reach the second floor, and the ceilings slope in places—something to note if you are travelling with young children. No smoking is permitted in the apartment.

What guests say
We stay here every year. It’s a warm, spacious and social home from home. Really close to everything in Keswick. Great facilities and everything you might need to enjoy a comfortable stay. So lovely to see the subtle changes each year.
