Dunningwell Hall
Cumberland

Millom sits on Cumberland's coast, close enough to the Lake District's western edge that you can reach fell walks and mountain scenery without the crowds of the central valleys. Dunningwell Hall occupies 26 acres of its own grounds, a restored Victorian mansion from 1876 that works as a private base for groups of up to 22 people. Every bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and a bed that sleeps two; most are kingsize. The building spreads across three floors with multiple living spaces—dining rooms, sitting rooms, a games room—so there's room to spread out or gather as you choose. Wood burners warm the main reception areas. A hot tub seats 16 in the garden, and there's parking on the grounds.
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking from scratch. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided, along with fuel for the burners. A welcome pack arrives with your booking. Cots and highchairs are available if needed. The location suits family celebrations, reunions, and group holidays; you rent the whole property to yourselves. One well-behaved pet can stay at no extra charge. No smoking indoors.
