Market Place

Market Place is a terraced house spread across three floors in Washington Square, right in Workington town centre. The ground floor has a kitchen and dining space with a gas cooker and microwave; upstairs, a living room contains a sofa bed (doubling as a second sleeping space) and Freeview TV; and on the top floor sits a kingsize bedroom and bathroom with shower over the bath. The property sleeps up to four—a couple in the bedroom, or two adults and two children using the sofa bed as well. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included.

Workington's pubs and restaurants are within walking distance, and a public car park stands 110 yards away. Families wanting daytime activities will find the Cumbrian coast reachable by car—Allonby beach is roughly 20 minutes away, St Bees about 25, and Whitehaven harbour the same. Cockermouth, a market town with independent shops and cafés, is also 25 minutes' drive. Those seeking Lake District walks can reach Keswick in around 30 minutes. Be aware that Friday and Saturday nights can be lively with music from local bars; quieter days run Sunday to Thursday. No smoking is permitted in the property.
