Gosforth sits on the edge of the Western Lakes, with fell walks starting practically from the village itself. Mill Cottage occupies a central spot here, giving you the village's amenities—café, shop, pub—without needing to drive. The cottage is yours alone, sleeping four across two bedrooms: a double and a twin, sharing one bathroom with both bath and shower.
Ground floor holds the main living space, an open-plan room with dining area, Smart TV and an open fire (fuel included to get you started). The kitchen is compact but functional, leading out to a rear garden with patio and seating. Upstairs, the second living room provides a quieter retreat. An outbuilding houses a washing machine. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered. One well-behaved dog is welcome. The cottage does not permit smoking.
This works well for couples or small families wanting Lake District access without the fuss of a larger property. Scafell Pike is reachable from here, and gentler valley walks are on your doorstep. The Lion and the Lamb pub sits within a mile.
