Springlea Cottage is a terraced cottage dating to the 1600s, standing in the village of Deanscales just south of Cockermouth and within a mile of the Lake District National Park boundary. The building retains original features throughout: low ceilings, exposed wooden beams, and restored stone flooring sit alongside a working woodburner, while period furnishings complement the heritage character. Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; initial logs for the woodburner come with your stay, with additional baskets available to purchase.
The ground floor holds a living room with a woodburner and Smart TV, plus a kitchen and dining space equipped for self-catering. Upstairs, a single kingsize bedroom connects to an ensuite with walk-in shower and heated towel rail. The cottage sleeps two and is yours entirely; parking for one car is on site. The village itself has a pub within walking distance, and Loweswater—one of the Lake District's smallest and most frequently praised lakes—lies nearby, forming the start of a chain that includes Crummock Water and Buttermere. This is a no-smoking property, and children are not accommodated.
