The Lake District's appeal lies in its mountains, lakes and woodland walks, and Stanleys Sanctuary puts you within reach of all three. This detached caravan sleeps four across two bedrooms—a double and two singles—with a shower room, open-plan living area and kitchen on the ground floor. Outside there is private decking and parking for two cars. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided; the caravan is non-smoking.
Keswick sits a short drive away, a market town with independent shops, cafés and restaurants that serves as the launchpad for Derwentwater. The lake itself offers boat hire, lakeside paths and mountain views. South takes you to Cockermouth, a Georgian town and the birthplace of William Wordsworth, with its own shops and quieter pace. The surrounding countryside rewards walkers and cyclists with trails through fell and forest; Whinlatter Forest Park is nearby for both.
Inside, the kitchen is equipped for everyday cooking—electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge and freezer—while the living room has a television and electric fire. One bedroom has an ensuite toilet; the other is served by the main shower room. The decking provides a spot to sit with morning coffee or an evening drink.
