Stanwix Cottage

Stanwix Cottage comes fully equipped for a week away without the usual holiday hassle. Electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are all included, so you arrive to a ready-made home rather than a list of things to sort first. The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven and hob, letting you cook or keep things simple as the mood takes. Heating is on tap throughout the property.

The layout spreads across two floors with genuine living space rather than cramped corners. Downstairs holds a lounge, living and dining room, conservatory overlooking the back garden, plus a separate toilet and the kitchen. Upstairs are three bedrooms—a kingsize with ensuite shower, a double and a single—alongside a family bathroom with bath and cubicle shower. The private enclosed garden has seating furniture and is accessible by a step from the house, with another step down to the garden itself. Parking is on-road outside. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

The cottage sits in a quiet residential area of Carlisle, close enough to the city centre to walk but far enough to feel tucked away. A pub and restaurant are moments away. Rickerby Park and the River Eden offer local walking, while Hadrian's Wall, the Lake District and the Scottish border are all within reach for day trips. Smoking is not permitted inside.
