What visitors say
Really disappointed with our stay and even more disappointed with how the complaint has been handled afterwards. We raised several issues during our visit, including the condition of the lodge, hanging light fittings, cleanliness, and a faulty stove, which completely took away from what was supposed to be a relaxing break. We tried to resolve things while we were actually staying there by calling the property owner and even walking over to the cabin/reception ourselves, only to find there were no staff there. We waited around for over 20 minutes and still couldn’t speak to anyone, leaving us with no support at all when we needed it. After returning home, I contacted customer services with all of my concerns and expected them to take them seriously. Instead, after multiple emails, I waited a month for a response back. they’ve refused any refund and simply offered a £50 discount towards another stay. I honestly can’t understand why I would want to return after the experience we’ve had. It’s not even just about the money, it’s the lack of accountability and customer service. A genuine apology and an effort to put things right would have gone a long way, but instead I’ve been left feeling completely dismissed. Such a shame because we were really looking forward to our stay, but based on both the experience itself and the way our complaint has been dealt with afterwards, I definitely won’t be returning or recommending it to anyone.

Windemere has got to be my favourite lodge ive stated in so far, we had the most amazing stay me my partner and our little dog 🥰 The lodge is beautifully decorated and really well thought out everything you need and more! Space for everything keeping it nice and tidy. The park is so peaceful and tranquil exactly what we love to escape life for the weekend, nice closed in hottub for privacy which also loved. Only one thing I would say could improve is WiFi kept going off might have been weather but we wernt too bothered as we're just enjoying the place too much. We will 100% be returning and cant wait to do so 🥰 thank you so much 💝Xx

Me & my husband have just returned from a long weekend at Green meadows country park and what a beautiful place. The lodge was gorgeous (and we were in a pet friendly one) from us walking in with the beautiful, clean smell, to every room detail and finish. The main bedroom with its quirky ‘wardrobe’ which was a walk in wardrobe at one side and an en-suite shower room at the other side. King sized bed in the main room, actual single sized beds in the twin room. Hot tub on the decking was extremely private and lovely and hot. Plastic chairs on the decking to sit out on a nice night. Full sized fridge with wine rack & freezer with 3 drawers, half sized dishwasher. Coffee, tea, sugar, milk & mini biscuits for your arrival. Well stocked kitchen. The only ‘problem’ we had was the tin opener. The staff we saw around the site were all very friendly and helpful. A very quiet site with nothing to do but that was perfect for us. Plenty to do in the area and not far to travel for a nice day out. We went to Carlisle and that was a lovely town too. Quirky coffee shops as well as your big names in the town with its many alleys to another part of the centre. Will definitely return and would definitely recommend.

We stayed in No:41. It was beautiful and clean. Very spacious. Double doors on the front that opens up onto a veranda. Beautiful private veranda to the side with own hot tub. Lovely comfy beds. Would highly recommend. And we will be returning again. Love that it also has an air fryer.
