Willow Cottage

Cockermouth is a working market town where independent shops, restaurants and cafes line the streets alongside familiar high street names. The Trout Hotel sits within a mile, and the town centre itself rewards exploration on foot. Willow Cottage occupies a Victorian terrace just steps from the main streets, with private parking on site for one car.

The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms: a king-size on the first floor and a twin room alongside. Downstairs, a living room with woodburner opens onto a kitchen and dining space fitted with electric cooking, a dishwasher and all the basics for self-catering. One bathroom serves the property, with a bath and separate shower. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are included; the woodburner has initial fuel provided, with more available locally.

The layout works well for couples or families wanting to stay put in one place. Wordsworth House, the birthplace of William Wordsworth, is across the road if cultural interests pull you that way. No smoking inside the cottage.
