What visitors say
Great campsite with spotless facilities, friendly staff and fab location for getting to Hawkshead itself with a nice stream path (off road). Co-op and pubs ten min walk away. Lots of good walks and things to do nearby.

Absolute gem of a campsite. Well spaced out pitches and fantastic amenities. Ideally situated for many walks from the site. Good path to walk into Hawkeshead village. A super site.

One of the best sites we have been on. Countryside views on all sides. The pitch is large with ehu, water and grey waste. The toilet block is great. Spotlessly clean, warm, fresh and has loads of showers etc. There is a good laundry with reasonably priced washers and dryers, large plate washing area and a bonus of a TV room with comfy seats, table and chairs. The quaint village is only a 10 minute walk and has a coop and selection of pubs, cafes and shops. Well worth a visit. Cost was very good much cheaper than the Club sites and felt much nicer to be honest.

Booked last minute driving back from a soggy Scotland. Found this site more pricey than those we stayed on over the border but no complaints about facilities etc. Toilet and shower block spacious and spotless. Push button shower and a tight area to dry off. But again…super clean. Lovely and quiet while we were here (early July 26). Easy walk into Hawkshead. And plenty of walks around to stretch the legs (Latterbarrow, Tarn Hows, Windermere and Grizedale Forest all walkable from the site if you’re relatively fit). The drive to the site (from either direction) is a little nerve-wracking. We just breathed in and hoped for the best 🥸
