What visitors say
This is a lovely quiet haven tucked near a little village called Outgate. It is on an old country estate and having it's own grounds, is perfect for families with children. There is plenty of room to explore! The owner is kind and thoughtful and makes one feel very welcome. The wooden lodges are simple but that is part of it's attraction. It has the most wonderful views, is peaceful and quiet, good for a little solitude. It is an ideal base from which to explore the Lakes and indeed, there are plenty of walks nearby, one doesn't have to go far. I have been coming here for a number of years.

Beautiful, very simple, totally relaxing away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The proprietor sells it as "glamping" holidays, but although older the cabins are far more spacious and better equipped than the usual glamping hut. An absolutely fantastic week. and even got to watch deer wandering past the window, and one evening even saw a badger.
