Lovely CL, 8 pitches, 3 hard standing. Easy walk through the beautiful fields and sheep to Hawkshead Village, with number of cafes, restaurants and shops. Relish Company do amazing jams etc in unique jars. Red Lion do the best gluten free fish and chips I've ever had, but beef cheek dish only half a portion and not worth £27. Ambleside, Browness and Windermere less than 30 mins.

We had a lovely time staying at Keen Ground Cottage last week. Great rural location just outside Hawkshead village. We took the short walk (under 10 minutes) across the fields for pubs and shops a few times. The cottage comfortable and cosy, with a nice log burner which we utilised most nights. We were welcomed with a selection of local produce - tea, biscuits, twills - which was most welcome. We visit the Lakes 1-2 weeks each year and this is the best cottage for two adults and a dog that we’ve stayed in.

Four days with our spaniel sweep in this lovely comfortable cottage was not enough . location was perfect for us . Quiet and only a ten minute walk into the centre of Hawkshead. Well equipped , comfy bed . and a log burning stove to keep us toasty ! . would we stay again? Yes please.

Very good site very close to the village and pubs restaurants goof for a base for walking or cycling or just get the bus
