⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Stunning Glamping Escape with Top-Tier Hosts I’m a 29-year-old guy who stayed here with a group of friends while hiking one of the better-known trails in the area — and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better base. We stayed at Bronfelen Yurt, a cozy but surprisingly spacious glamping setup on a lovely little farm. It’s hosted by Toni and her partner, who were hands-down some of the best hosts I’ve ever encountered — the kind of service you’d usually only expect at a luxury resort abroad. Despite us arriving incredibly late (around 11:30pm), Toni was still happy to greet us. She showed us around without any stress or rush and made us feel totally at ease. Throughout the stay, she checked in just the right amount to ensure everything was going well — never intrusive, always helpful. The level of care and attention was just incredible. She even let us check out later than planned, without us asking, simply because she wouldn’t be cleaning until later in the day. That kind of thoughtfulness goes a long way. Now, onto the yurt itself — it was beautifully designed, warm thanks to a log burner, and filled with the right touches to make it feel homely while still being in nature. We were there during colder weather, and it still felt like a solid, comfortable space to relax in after long hikes. The outdoor kitchen was a standout too. It had everything we needed to cook proper meals, which allowed us to save money and enjoy the site even more. The setup made it surprisingly enjoyable to prep food outside — rustic, yes, but functional and even a bit fun. The toilet and shower setup (in a converted shed) was way more comfortable than expected. The hot water was almost instant, with strong pressure, and the space was clean and well looked after — more like being at home than in the wild. The overall farm and surrounding area were beautiful. Peaceful, clean, and filled with little extras that made the stay special — from a fire pit and BBQ to reasonably priced firewood available on site. You’re around animals and nature, but never feel like you’re sacrificing comfort. A Few Suggestions — All Meant with Love As great as everything was, I do think a few small tweaks could elevate the experience even further (and I’m sure Toni will take it on board — she’s that kind of host). • The bed: After hours of hiking, something a little softer would’ve been appreciated. The current beds are fine — no need to replace them — but even a couple of memory foam mattress toppers would go a long way in helping guests recover after a big day outdoors. • The door lock: We had some trouble with the lock sticking, especially at night due to the recent heat likely making the wood swell. On the final night, we chose not to lock it just to avoid the hassle — not a huge issue as the area felt completely safe, but still worth checking. • Shower head height: One of my taller mates had a hard time with the shower head — it seemed like the bracket was a bit loose, making it tricky to position properly. Again, not a dealbreaker, but something to improve if possible. ⸻ Final Thoughts If you’re looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming glamping stay that connects you with nature without making you rough it — this is it. Between the setting, the facilities, and the amazing hospitality from Toni and her partner, we left genuinely blown away. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back.
