Me and my husband had such a lovely experience there! The whole place is beautiful, clean, decorated with a lot of taste and attention to details. The breakfast is homemade and delicious. It is also a nice moment to meet other guests and discuss a little. The hosts are really nice people! We definitely recommend it!

Peter the host is charming, the bed comfortable and the room quiet but in need of updating. Faded curtains, trailing wires, lamp not working. The accommodation lacks the extra touches guests expect for the price. No water, tissues, biscuits or even a bar of soap. Toiletries were supposedly REN but the shower gel was in a refilled and unlabelled small bottle so probbaly wasn't REN. Standard of cleaning was poor, black mould inside and outside the shower, corners of the cupboards not properly dusted. The website states Bear’s Well has been recommended as the best place to stay in Deal by the Michelin Guide, Condé Nast Traveller, Readers’ Digest, and the Daily Mail. If this is corrcet it must have been a long long time ago. Breakfast was tasty but overall the accommodaton was disappointing.

We had a lovely weekend stay with the amazing hosts Peter and Nikki! The room was super comfortable and the breakfast was superb! Whenever we are in Deal this is where we will stay! It’s also perfectly located just minutes to the town and waterfront.
