About Caer Mynydd Caravan Park

Tucked near the hamlet of Saron with sweeping views towards the Clwydian Hills, Caer Mynydd Caravan Park offers a peaceful retreat within easy reach of north Wales's coastline and castles. Guests consistently praise the spacious, well-maintained pitches and spotless facilities—particularly the warm, immaculate shower blocks and dedicated disabled wetroom. The friendly, helpful owners add to the welcoming atmosphere, making this a good-value base for exploring the Denbigh moors, Llyn Brenig reservoir, and Snowdonia beyond.

On-site amenities include a play area, food shop for essentials, and launderette, while responsible campers can enjoy firepits (just dispose of residue properly). The site welcomes everything from families and walkers to rallies and student groups, with nearby Denbigh and Ruthin offering more provisions and a village pub three miles away in Cyffylliog. It's a serene, walker-friendly spot—though facilities can feel a touch basic if you're after something more upmarket.

Stayed on site for three nights, very warm welcome. Site is very well kept, lovely and quiet. Pizza on Friday is a great idea and delicious. Will return. Just one little little bit of advice, maybe add another hook on the shower door and maybe add a shelf in the shower, not particularly nice to put shower gel, shampoo etc on the floor, but I'm being a bit picky. Location is good, few minutes from Prestatyn, just off A55 but can't hear it, easy access to Chester or further into north Wales.

Really lovely quiet clean space that feels like your in the middle of nowhere but only a short drive from Prestatyn and Rhyl. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Plenty of space between vans. The toilet and shower block are warm and very clean. Have stayed here before and will stay again.

Lovely campsite, friendly staff who are very helpful. Spent a lovely (if busy) three days here located just at the top of Rhuallt hill with obvious beautiful scenery. A good mix of permanent caravans, touring caravans and motorhomes. A word to the wise, if you're a motorhome that once onsite you can't move, get your provisions in before you arrive. Unless you want to cycle up the equivalent of Rhuallt hill after a lovely ride down into Dyseth. I enquired about a taxi into Dyseth, £25 or £40 into Rhuddlan. That's just there, same cost to get back. All that said, it doesn't reflect on the campsite, that was just our mistake. Mike's lovely wife volunteered to run us to the local Asda which was really really kind of her and saved me from a possible heart attack cycling back up from Dyseth...... AGAIN lol
