Yr Hen Bwthyn is a Grade II listed cottage built into a side street in central Llangollen. The building retains period character while functioning as a comfortable modern holiday home. Ground floor holds the living room—equipped with a woodburning stove and Smart TV—and a kitchen with electric oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave. Upstairs, two bedrooms provide a super king bed and a single, served by a bathroom with bath and shower.

Essentials are covered: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi. Initial logs for the woodburner are supplied. On-road parking is available outside. The cottage does not accommodate children under 2 years old and is non-smoking throughout.

From the front door, Llangollen's amenities—cafés, bars, galleries, museums—are within walking distance. The Vale of Llangollen offers hill walks, including up to Castell Dinas Bran. Pontcysyllte aqueduct and canal paths lie nearby. The Llangollen steam railway, white water rafting on the river, mountain biking and pony trekking are all locally available. Chirk Castle is a short journey away.
