About Travelodge Nottingham Em Airport Donington Park M1

Travelodge Nottingham Em Airport Donington Park M1 gives guests a straightforward en-suite room across one of its three floors, with drinks available in room and a lift for easy access to every level. Accessible rooms are available for those who need them, and the hotel welcomes pets, making it a practical stop whether you're travelling alone, as a family or with an animal in tow. Some rooms do run warm and ventilation isn't always ideal, so it's worth bearing in mind in the summer months.

The 78-room hotel sits right by the M1 at Junction 23a, within the Moto Services, so food options are on hand without needing to venture far, and a Costa Coffee is also nearby for a quick coffee stop. Reception operates 24 hours a day, useful for late arrivals or early starts, and free on-site parking is available once you've registered your vehicle at check-in, with an electric vehicle charge point also on site.

Its position close to East Midlands Airport and Donington Park makes it a convenient overnight base for flights or race days, with prices ranging from £35 to £150 depending on when you stay. It's a functional, no-frills choice for travellers who need somewhere clean, comfortable and easy to reach off the motorway.

I stayed at this hotel for two weeks, and unfortunately my experience was disappointing. The biggest issue was the rooms. The rooms facing the mall have no natural ventilation, and the rooms facing outside don’t have air conditioning. During my stay there was a heat wave, and it became so hot that I even saw guests sleeping with their doors open because the rooms were unbearable. Housekeeping was also far below expectations. Every time I requested my room to be cleaned, they only changed the towels. The bathroom was never cleaned, and the bed wasn’t even made. For a two-week stay, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and service. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again unless these issues are addressed.

Standard Travelodge rooms but based around the services eating and shopping area so approximately half the rooms look out on that rather than the surrounding countryside. I found it very strange not to have natural light in the room. If I stay again I would probably pay to select a room that looked out rather than in. Being at the services did mean there was a selection of food places attached to the hotel. M&S food, Pret, Greggs and McDonalds amongst them. I still find it strange that Travelodge haven't moved to free WiFi in rooms yet. Their construction also seems to degrade standard phone signals.

Room was fine and had air conditioning which worked well. Service was slow and took over 3 minutes for someone to appear at reception even after phoning the number as no one was there. Beds and pillows very firm. Would consider staying again.

We booked this as a stop over to fly from East Midlands so has a great location, however having stopped in travel lodges in warm periods prior I picked one that had air conditioning fitted for travelling with 2 small children. However on arrival the family room we had booked did not have air conditioning because it was only fitted to certain rooms and our room had a window and they had provided a fan, neither of which made a dent in the 30 degree heat. I asked to be changed to another room with aircon but the only room was too small for us all to get in. They ended up providing 3 fans but realistically it was still far too hot and everyone struggled to get to sleep. IF YOU ARE THINKING OF STOPPING HERE IN SUMMER MONTHS MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN A ROOM WITH AIR CON OR EXPECT A HOTBOX!!
