Alstonfield Cottage

Alstonfield Cottage is a converted stone barn on grounds that once formed part of a working farm. The property sits within a courtyard of similar conversions, each sympathetically restored and privately yours for the duration of your stay. Two bedrooms, each with a zip-and-link bed that can be arranged as either a superking or two singles, serve four guests. Both bedrooms have ensuite or private bathroom facilities, and the ground floor holds an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining and sitting areas, plus a utility room where you can do laundry.

The 3-acre grounds shared with other cottages include patio areas, garden furniture and barbecue facilities, along with a children's play area. A games room offers a pool table and table tennis. The real draw is the heated indoor swimming pool in an adjacent building, open year-round except over Christmas and New Year, with a shallow section for younger swimmers and dedicated changing rooms. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all included. Carsington Water is within walking distance, and private parking is available on site. No smoking is permitted in the cottage.
