Bonsall Cottage
Derbyshire Dales
Bonsall Cottage is a thoughtfully converted barn in the Derbyshire Dales, part of a stone courtyard that once served a working farm. The single bedroom sleeps four on a zip-and-link super king bed and a bunk, making it suitable for families or two couples. Everything needed for a self-catering break is provided: the open-plan living space has a television and dining area, the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking with an electric oven and full-size fridge, and the bathroom has a bath with shower. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included.
What sets this cottage apart is access to the shared facilities on the 3-acre grounds. An indoor heated swimming pool operates year-round (with restricted dates around Christmas), opening at 8.30 am each day and closing at 6.30 pm, and includes a shallow children's area and changing rooms. The games room has a pool table and table tennis, and there are patio areas, garden furniture and a play space across the grounds. A laundry room with coin-operated machines is available for longer stays. Private parking is on site. The countryside setting offers space and quiet, though the shared nature of the amenities means other guests will be around. Non-smoking throughout.
