About New House Organic Farm
Perched on the edge of the Peak District, this 43-acre organic smallholding offers the kind of spacious, back-to-basics camping that feels genuinely wild. Pitches sprawl across open fields dotted with free-range cattle and sheep, bordered by wildflower meadows and woodland where wildlife thrives. The only facilities are composting toilets, washing-up sinks and drinking water – though that barely registers once you've clocked the sweeping views of the Derbyshire hills and the deep, cow-lowing quiet. For an extra treat, book a session at Peak Saunas, the on-site wild sauna and cold plunge experience.
Borrow a handmade firepit for free and stock up on organic meat and eggs from the farm shop, or stroll 20 minutes to the local pub for homemade cider. Hikers can warm up on Thorpe Cloud (visible from camp) or tackle Chee Dale's dramatic gorge and Baslow Edge further afield. The generous pitch sizes make this a brilliant spot for family gatherings or groups, though dogs must stay on-lead around the livestock. Facilities are minimal, so this one's for campers who prize space and scenery over showers.

What visitors say
Lovely peaceful campsite. With great views. Started to get quiet from 10.30pm and was then torally quiet after 11.00pm, which wa amazing. The site is managed so that campers are carefully spread across the site ensuring noisey groups are kept away from those who are quieter. Of course thr not always a guarantee but it worked when we were there. The free fire pits are a great addition. Compost toilets which were clean and well maintianed, didnt smell at all and it was a hot day. Sheep and Cows in fields nearby. There is a cockeral... However, bu the time it started up ot was already light and birds were singing. Really enjoyed our stay and created solme great memories. Thank you.

Thank you so much to New House Farm for a perfectly peaceful evening! We visited on a Monday night in April, we booked 2 days before and got confirmation less than a day after booking! The team were communicative and professional helped us find a nice spot to camp, supplied us with a bag of £8 logs for the fire pits that were already there. The toilet was clean and fresh and are multiple in each field. There was no one else there as it is the opposite to peak season and it was lovely to have a full field to ourselves, it really added to our experience! My partner came here as a child to hippy camps that were held here and that's how we knew about the campsite, it was a lovely nostalgic experience for him! We also interacted with their animals including their dogs which were very nicely tempered and gentle. I highly recommend this campsite to anyone, it is great for the price! We will have to return at the weekend to try the saunas!

Myself and my partner have stayed here no fewer than 5 times now and every single time it reinforces our love for this place. Relaxed atmosphere, incredible produce to buy on site (meat, eggs, salad!). Beautiful views, extremely helpful and friendly hosts, facilities always up to standard, fire pits available to borrow and firewood for sale. Love the fact the pitches are not set so it feels a bit more wild and it’s big enough to get your own corner! Fantastic pub a short walk away. Laura brought over a big basket of vegetables and salad items for us including lettuce, rocket and nasturtium, we had sticky mint lamb chops and our entire dinner was made with produce from the farm. It is a working farm so some noise is to be expected but it feels nice to be part of the action! We’ve not found a spot that is even close to this, an absolute favourite for us.

A lovely peaceful campsite. Family friendly and the no noise after 10:30 is observed. The long drop toilets were tidy and well stocked with paper and sawdust. A great base for walking in the area.
