Bailey’s Barn

Derbyshire Dales

View on Google Maps

Bailey's Barn is a converted barn at 900 feet in Uppertown, near Bonsall in the Derbyshire Dales. Built in the 1700s, it retains high beamed ceilings and original character—including a cheese press in the courtyard—while offering modern comfort with a wood burner, instant electric heating, and strong wifi throughout.

Everything unfolds on one level. The open-plan kitchen and living space contains a wood burner, smart TV, and a full range of appliances including a dishwasher. The bedroom has a zip-and-link super king bed that can be split into two singles on request, with an ensuite shower. Outside, there's a private enclosed lawn garden with seating and a barbecue, plus a separate courtyard with furniture and a firepit. Parking is private and off-road, and a bike store sits on site. One dog stays free and receives a welcome pack and bedding; there's an outside tap for washing boots and paws.

The hamlet sits on high ground with wide views across open country. Walking trails and cycling routes start from the property itself; The Limestone Way and hundreds of miles of footpaths run through fields and moorland nearby. Hollies Farm Plant Centre is close by. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. No smoking inside the property.
