Poppy Cottage opens into a comfortable living and dining space with a woodburner, television and Freesat, which leads through to a properly equipped kitchen with electric range, dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a king bed and one with two singles—and a bathroom with shower cubicle and corner bath. The whole cottage is yours alone, with bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity included, plus initial logs for the fire.
Behind the house, an enclosed tiered garden with patio and summer house offers outdoor space for dining or simply sitting. One car parks on site at no extra charge, and one dog stays free of charge. Matlock town lies within easy reach for shops and restaurants; two pubs are within walking distance. The area suits walkers and anyone interested in Peak District heritage—Cromford's Arkwright Mills and Crich Tramway Village are nearby, and Matlock Bath's cable car to the Heights of Abraham is a short drive away. No smoking inside the property. Children under ten are not suitable for this cottage due to the garden's steep layout and steps.

A wonderful little cottage, parking opposite is extremely useful, short walk to Matlock shops and bars, 10 minute walk to the train station and a really relaxing place to stay. Well equipped, clean, tidy and comfortable. My wife and I would stay here again if we ever visit the area again. Highly recommend!👍

Hi Wayne, My friend and I loved Poppy Cottage which was perfect for our needs. The cottage is immaculate and we really appreciated you travelling from Chesterfield on a Sat evening to sort out the minor glitch with the TV. This was my 2nd stay at the cottage and I look forward to many future visits. I highly recommend Poppy Cottage for anyone considering booking the cottage. Our 2nd stay in Poppy Cottage, its perfect for us. Well equipped & presented, very comfortable & in a great location. No need for a car as everything is close by. A beautiful cottage which is like a home from home. We will be back again.
